Coffee Stories
Sponsored by Coffee begun during the pandemic, while a very pregnant-in-lockdown freelance mama of a two year old found most of her work cancelled or postponed (see lockdown), and the need for both a creative outlet, connection and inspiration grew.
In Swedish culture we partake in something called Fika.
It’s a simple enough idea - you take a break, breathe, and have a hot drink (usually a coffee) maybe accompanied by something sweet (buns buns buns). This is our version of having a cuppa, except we tend to treat it with a bit more revere - working days include both lunch and fika breaks, and they are taken. And meeting a friend for a fika can mean anything from a quick check in to a lazy afternoon spent sipping coffee and deep conversation.
For me, some of the greatest sources of inspiration, realisation and comfort has come from long, lazy and in-depth (often exploring wildly out there topics) conversations with my girlfriends. And so… In a bid to connect as we all found ourselves stuck and confused… I got in touch with some women whose businesses, selves, and presence online and beyond had intrigued me, and asked them some questions over a virtual coffee… The result is below, and I hope you might enjoy the read (over a hot drink of choice, while pressing pause on whatever stressors exist in your daily life) and find some inspiration too.
A new series will be coming soon, so please do check back in…

Lo is an absolute gem and the one-woman-power house who launched Good Copy (You, On Paper) while still working a day-job AND homeschooling, mid-lockdown.
